Delete your account
You can delete your Gift List Guru account, and everything in it, whenever you like. It takes a minute and there’s no waiting period — but there’s no undo either.
Do it yourself
From Preferences
- Sign in below with the account you want to delete.
- Open Preferences (from the menu, or go to giftlist.guru/preferences).
- At the bottom, press Delete my account and type your email address to confirm.

We’ll do it for you
Can’t sign in, or would rather not? Send a request from the email address on the account and we’ll delete it within 7 days and confirm by reply. We only ask for the email address so we can be sure the request is yours.
What goes
Everything
- → Your lists and every gift on them
- → Your name, email address and profile picture
- → Your preferences, reminders and notification devices
- → Gifts you had reserved on other people’s lists are released
Deletion is immediate and permanent; nothing is kept for later. Anyone who had reserved a gift on one of your lists is emailed to say the list has gone. Our full privacy policy explains what we hold and why.
