Bring home five brand-new instalments from the phenomenally popular Tom Gates series by bestselling author-illustrator Liz Pichon. This paperback collection gathers Series 16-20, packed with doodles, diary-style storytelling, laugh-out-loud family chaos and school-day mishaps. Perfect for reluctant readers, comic-strip fans and anyone who loves Tom's scribbled asides, wonky drawings and warm, witty take on everyday family life. A brilliant gift set or reading-corner addition for fans old and new.. About the Books. Mega Make and Do and Stories Too! finds Tom facing a whole half-term with no plans and no intention of letting big sister Delia take charge, so he fills the week with doodles, games and a brilliantly bonkers woolly-monster-making project. In Spectacular School Trip (Really.), Tom is desperate to avoid another "sad face" on the class achievement chart so he doesn't miss out on the big school trip, even with Moany Marcus stirring up trouble along the way. Ten Tremendous Tales is a fully illustrated collection of bite-sized short stories starring Tom, his family and schoolmates, covering everything from a delicious chicken pie disaster to getting stuck in a lift with Delia. Random Acts of Fun sees an injured Tom, sidelined with a fractured ankle, keep the fun alive through plaster-cast doodles, surprise visits and inventing secret languages with his mates. Finally, in Happy to Help (eventually), it's TIDY UP Saturday, but Tom has entirely different plans once the art box of his dreams appears in a shop window. Liz Pichon's trademark mix of handwritten-style text and sketchy illustrations makes every title irresistible, whether read cover to cover or dipped into story by story.. Five
